Piano lessons available in the Bartlett and Naperville area for ages 5 to adult. Lessons in Bartlett are taught at Dave’s in home studio. Lessons in Naperville are taught in your home, (very limited openings in Naperville).
For younger children, ages 5 to 9, Dave uses the unique Mr Everybody’s Musical Apartment series of books. This is a mnemonic story teaching method for piano that young children love. A story that has memorable characters that children actually associate with note reading and rhythm. For older students the standard method books are often used.
Along with using these books, Dave also teaches all ages simple chords and rhythms with hand written arrangements of songs. As the student advances and learns the basics they can be taught more popular songs. Depending on the direction of learning desired they can concentrate on pop music, classical or jazz. Music and chord theory is also available.
